How to work with me and FAQs
I’ve taken steps to make working with me as easy as possible.
Simply submit the form on the contact me page to begin the process of working with me. I will respond with links to schedule a short discovery call (10-15 minutes).
From there we’ll follow the process as laid out in the tabs below (with any modifications needed based on the complexity of the project).
Click on each tab for a description of the step.
Go to FAQs.
Start by completing and submitting the form on the “contact me” page. I’ll review the form and then contact you via email.
I’ll ask you to fill out a short questionnaire and return it to me via email before our call. I’ll provide a link where you can schedule a time for the call. (Let’s avoid phone and email tag, shall we?).
In a 10-15 minute call, we’ll talk about your project and determine whether we’re a good fit for each other.
If we decide to move forward, we’ll discuss next steps and set up a second more in-depth discussion. I’ll request some data to prepare for the In-depth call.
After our discovery call, I’ll send you a link to schedule this more in-depth call. I plan for up to 1 hour for this call.
Based on a preliminary review of the data you provided, I’ll give some general recommendations for your project.
We’ll discuss the needs of your project in more detail.
If you are interested in receiving a proposal, I’ll follow up with you by phone after reviewing the project.
Once given the green light, I’ll prepare a proposal and send it to you.
You’ll review the proposal and either request changes or electronically sign it if everything looks good.
Once the proposal is signed, a contract will be prepared and sent to you for electronic signature. Once you sign the contract, a 50% deposit is required before work can begin on your project. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project.
Once the contract is signed, I will set up any calls needed for gathering information and interviews.
I’ll send a progress update to you weekly or more as required.
For web pages of any kind, the copy of the first draft will be presented in a wireframe.
This allows me to lay out the messages on the page so that they are consumed in the best possible order.
It also makes it easier to visualize how the copy will look and feel on a designed page.
To be clear, a wireframe is not graphic design. However, it will help guide the graphic designer when it comes time to design the page.
I include 2 rounds of light revisions if needed. Major revisions involving changes in strategy or scope will require a new contract.
You approve and sign off on the final draft.
I send you the final draft. You publish the asset.
Once the asset goes live, I will track its analytics and participate in experiments and testing if included in the project.
Once the project is completed, I will send an invoice for the balance of the project fee.
